AURORA, Ill. — The victim of a fatal shooting on April 9th in the 400 block of West New York Street has been identified as 24-year-old Myles Buie of Aurora.
According to the Aurora Police Department, officers responded to a report of a shooting around 10:00 PM and found Buie seated inside a parked vehicle with gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital but was pronounced dead later that evening.
A GoFundMe Campaign to pay for Myles Buie’s Funeral expenses has been started by family, raising nearly $3,000 at the time of writing.
The investigation into the homicide is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward. Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of felony crime offenders and the capture of felony fugitives.
